Events - Summer in Noosa (Dec,Jan,Feb)

The weather is warming up and the beaches are well visited during this period. Popular activities over Summer include:

• Surfing the points around Little Cove, in the National Park at Alexandra Bay, the Groyne on Noosa Main Beach and the open beaches from Coolum to Sunshine Beach.

Ironman series final at Noosa!

The Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Surf Ironman Series, Ironwoman Series and Legends Series feature the country’s best Surf Life Saving athletes competing in the most gruelling ocean based competition on the planet.

Catch the best of the best at Coolum (12th Feb) and Noosa (19th Feb) this summer as they do battle for the honour of being crowned the Ironman and Ironwoman champion. The series finale will be held on Noosa’s Main Beach on February 19, 2012.

Noosa's annual Festival of Surfing returns this year bigger and better. From 11th March to 17th March, Noosa Beach comes alive as some of the world's best longboarders decend on Noosa to ride the perfect right-handers of First Point. Visit their website www.noosafestivalofsurfing.com and come and watch the action at the eastern end of the beach. This years event even includes a stand-up paddle surf race from the Noosa River to First Point.
