All you need to know about accommodation at the Noosa Triathlon.
It’s one of the biggest events on the Sunshine Coast sporting calendar, and it’s on again in early November! The Noosa Triathlon has recently taken the crown from the London Triathlon for the largest in the world, with the 2015 edition of the event drawing over 8000 participants.
If you’re a Noosa local, you’re undoubtedly familiar with one of the biggest events of the year. If you’re from further afield, this is one of those events that are absolutely worth attending.
- What: The Noosa Triathlon itself falls on the final day of a five-day sporting festival – the Noosa Triathlon Multi Sport Festival.
- When: October 31 – November 4, 2018
- Where: The swim starts in Noosa Main Beach, the bike road goes through the Noosa Hinterland and the run snakes throughout Noosa itself.
Thousands of athletes from around Australia and the world descend on Noosa for what has become the biggest triathlon on the sporting calendar. A full Olympic-length event, the Noosa Triathlon gives athletes and casual participants alike a chance to test their mettle and get some seriously competitive times on the board.
How to Register for the Noosa Triathlon
The Noosa Triathlon is one of the most popular events of its kind in the world. This year, individual tickets sold out in less than 12 hours. However, there are still entry options available. Relay teams, elite athletes (with a TA Elite Licence) and Legends (those who have participated in at least 10 Noosa Triathlons) can still register for the event. Charity entries are also still open, but as the date approaches these slots are likely to fill up, so get in quick!
What else is on during the Multi Sport Festival?
There are several events in the days leading up to the Noosa Triathlon itself. The Noosa Run Swim Run and the Breakfast Fun Run are just a couple of the additional events.
If you don’t mind hitting the greens, the Noosa Tri Charity Golf tournament might be right up your alley. There are swimming events, including the Noosa 1000 Ocean Swim, and events for kids, such as the Noosa Superkidz Triathlon. There’s something for everyone during the Multi Sport Festival, especially the spectators.
