Top 3 Queensland Holiday Destinations
Top 3 Queensland Holiday Destinations

There are dozens of great places in Queensland to spend your holiday, though if you could only go to three, these are clearly the best. For great places to stay, fun and interesting things to do, and beautiful spots to relax, you can't go past these three destinations.

Noosa

Here is a place that doesn’t get the hype it deserves, though it’s probably for the best as this means that it’s not swarming with people. Blessed with stunning natural beauty, this little oasis an hour and a half drive from Brisbane will have you feeling like you are finally living life the way it was supposed to be lived. Accommodation in Noosa is consistently great and is always clean, stylish and friendly regardless of where you end up staying. Noosa accommodation options range from resorts to B&B’s to camping, so you will definitely find what you are looking for.
While you are here, get a little bit active and do some horse riding, play some golf, go for a hike in Noosa National Park, or just lay around on one of the pristine local beaches. You never know, you might even see a whale swim on by. Just a short trip by car or courtesy coach is the world famous Australia Zoo. Home of the Crocodile Hunter and now featuring Australia's most diverse range of animals from all over the world. If you or the kids love animals, this is an action packed day out.

The Great Barrier Reef

This iconic spot has been on most people’s must see list as long as they’ve had a list, and for a good reason, it’s incredible. As a holiday destination there is no better place to find luxury, loads of activities and to have your mind blown by Mother Nature.
Consisting of 15 tourist islands, this area is home to decadent resorts, friendly B&B’s, and even some camping opportunities, so you are guaranteed to find your dream place to stay. Activities abound, and while diving and snorkelling are always popular, you can even have a go at something a little more adventurous like parasailing or skydiving. The world’s largest reef at over 2000km long and 350,000sqkm, and hosting more than 2000 species of fish and over 500 types of algae, if you are a hard one to impress, this will surely do it.

The Gold Coast

For those whose idea of a holiday is to be hitting the clubs by night and soaking up the sun by day, the Gold Coast will be your new favourite place to spend your holiday. Packed with great high-rise luxury apartments overlooking the beach, you will have the perfect place to wake up after a big night out on the town. If you are into surfing, you’ve probably heard of Surfer’s Paradise, and it lies right in the heart of the Gold Coast. One of the most consistently great surfing spots in the world, waves here can reach 4 meters and you will definitely be catching some amazing barrels. For a change from the beach, you can head off to one of the many nearby theme parks, which include Dream World, Movie World, Sea World and Wet’n’Wild. Then when the sun goes down, there’s only one thing to do, get yourself styled up and hit the clubs! Dozens of clubs dominate the nightlife on the Gold Coast, so you’ll have no trouble finding somewhere to bust out your best moves, with most clubs open until 3am.
Regardless of which of these three destinations you aim for next holiday, one thing is guaranteed; you are going to have a great time.
